Hanover Chamber Of Commerce Business Person of the Year 2010

      Thursday May 27th, Stephen Avitabile was honored as "Business Person of the Year".  Upon receiving the award, Stephen said "For me personally, having grown up in Hanover, gone through Hanover High School, being on the board of directors, and now receiving this award, it is very rewarding". Stephen began working in the jewelry industry as a teenager.  He worked in the Hanover Mall at Kay Jewelers for a number of years, until he eventually opened his own business.  The relocation of the business to 1774 Washington Street one and a half years ago has brought increased sales and traffic to the store.  Even with the tough economy, Avitabile Fine Jewelers is gaining new customers daily.  Avitabile Fine Jewelers now offers a larger showroom, children's play room, and full service repairs on site.
